Howard Bond Lockhart (April 22, 1897 in North Bay, Ontario - August 2, 1956 in Haliburton, Ontario) was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played 5 seasons in the National Hockey League for the Toronto St. Pats, Quebec Bulldogs, Hamilton Tigers and Boston Bruins.
The nickname "Holes" is associated with Lockhart, but there are no contemporaneous uses of the term for him [1], which appears to have been coined by hockey writer Stan Fischler sometime in the 1970s.[2]
